About
If you have been thinking of teaching your child or yourself to play the piano, you are in the right place. My name is Valentina Sadovski and I have been teaching students of all ages for the past 14 years. In addition to having all the necessary qualifications (two university degrees and a diploma, all in piano performance), I care deeply about my students’ progress and satisfaction and rejoice with them at their accomplishments, whether it is finally earning The Royal Conservatory’s level 10 certificate or playing The Piano Man at a family gathering.
Marshall McLuhan famously said that anyone who tries to make a distinction between education and entertainment doesn’t know the first thing about either, and that quote has become my motto. I don’t believe in boring learning, and I have a lot of tools in my arsenal to make the process interesting for you.
I teach a variety of ages. With children, it is easy. The learn FAST! All the parents need to do is create a routine that supports regular practice, and show a little bit of interest in their progress.
If you are an adult and not sure if you can learn to play at your age, I can assure you that you absolutely can. Each and every one of my adult students reported a great sense of satisfaction and fulfillment from their piano studies. Playing an instrument is akin to meditation, as it is very hard to be anywhere but in the present moment as you play. Which means that in addition to playing some beautiful music you will be de-stressing along the way!

Watch/Listen
- Here is a video of me playing Mendelssohn’s Rondo Capriccioso op. 14, filmed and produced by my multi-talented friend Stelth Ng. The beautiful space I was playing in is Grace Church on-the-Hill, Toronto.
- This video is from the time I was into making covers of pop songs. It was fun!
